Setting up a Prescription Printer within Vision

If you require your workstation to be able to print prescriptions, you first need to set up a prescription printer within Vision.

  1. Log into Vision.
  2. From the Home Screen select Options at the top menu and followed by Setup.

    The Printer Profiles view displays.
  3. Select Prescriptions, followed by Add.
  4. Select OK.
    The Add Printer Profile view displays.
  5. Select the drop-down next to Available Printers, and select the appropriate prescription printer.
  6. Select the Advanced>> button on the lower right corner of the view.
  7. The Paper Source drop-down identifies the tray location of the prescriptions, 
    Select Tray 1 or Tray 2 as appropriate.
  8. Select the Print Test Page button, to confirm the printer is correctly set up.
  9. Select Save in the top right corner of the view.
    The Vision Printer Profiles view displays, and the printer profile now says "My Prescription Settings".
  10. Select Apply to update, followed by OK to close.

    Note - If Consultation Manager was open while adding this printer, you need to close down the module and reopen it, to refresh the settings.
