With the move of the QOF Business Rules to SNOMED CT, a number of Read codes that used to count for QOF no longer count anymore.

The purpose of this blog is to highlight some Smoking Habit codes that have changed since the last Read Business Rules:

1371.11 Non-smoker - no longer counts as it was not a true synonym of "Never smoked tobacco"

137K000 Recently stopped smoking - no longer counts

137g.00 Cigarette pack-years - now counts
