Did you know you should be recording a reason when you delete data?

It is good practice to record the reason behind the deletion of data from a patient record.

Therapy is the only data type that has a reason for deletion recorded as part of the process, in order to record the deletion of other sorts of data:

  1. From Consultation Manager, open the patient required and locate the data that needs deleting.
  2. Right click on the data and select Edit.
  3. Depending on the type of data you have selected, enter your reason for deletion in either:
    • Notes, or
    • Comments

4. Select OK.

5. Now, right click on the entry again and select Delete.

When you view deleted data, see Viewing Deleted Records for details, the reason displays for auditing purposes.
